A First Birthday Session Celebration Made Just for Her

This first birthday was one of those sessions that felt especially meaningful.

Cameron is the baby of the family — the last of four — and after three boys, she is their first baby girl. Her mama had such a clear vision for celebrating her, and you could feel how special this milestone was for their family.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the color palette to the styling, and the entire setup was rented through Dreamy & Darling , who brought the vision to life beautifully. Mom worked closely with them to create something completely custom, and it was such a joy to photograph a space that felt so personal and intentional. I’ll be linking Serendipity below if you’re looking to book them — they did an incredible job.

While you’ll often see very minimalist setups here — clean backdrops, soft tones, simple details — this session is a perfect example of how customizable first birthday sessions can be. Whether you want something understated or want to go all out with a fully styled concept, both are always welcome. The goal is for the session to reflect your baby and yourstory.

Cameron took it all in with the sweetest expressions, and watching her explore her cake and the details around her was such a reminder of how quickly this season passes — especially when it’s your last baby.

These are the kinds of sessions that feel like a celebration not just of a birthday, but of a whole family’s journey.
