Baby Bunny Mini Sessions | Easter Mini Session Setup for Photographers | Springfield Missouri Studio Photography
If you’re looking for a timeless Easter mini session idea that feels both minimal and undeniably adorable, this Baby Bunny session setup might be exactly what you’re searching for.
I originally created this set in 2021, and five years later, it remains one of my favorite spring studio concepts for babies.
Designed for infants who are sitting confidently (typically 6–18 months), this Easter mini session focuses on texture, simplicity, and heirloom-quality portraits — without overwhelming props or busy backgrounds.
The Concept: Minimal, Neutral, Heirloom Easter Photos
Instead of bright pastels or heavy Easter decor, this set leans into:
• Soft hand-knit bunny outfits (purchased from poppysprops)
• Neutral taupe and blush tones
• A rustic wooden bucket (mine is from Rozzi rayne)
• Real raw vegetables for natural texture
• Clean studio lighting
The baby becomes the entire focus of the image.
No live bunny is used in this session —the baby is the bunny.
This keeps the experience calm, safe, and predictable for both baby and photographer.
Why This Easter Mini Session Works (For Photographers)
If you’re a photographer planning spring mini sessions, here’s why this setup performs well year after year:
1. It’s Fast
This is a 10-minute mini session format.
Simple posing. One contained setup. Minimal transitions.
2. It’s Repeatable
The set does not rely on fragile florals or outdoor weather conditions.
It can be recreated annually with consistency.
3. It Feels Classic, Not Trendy
Neutral Easter photography tends to age better than brightly themed seasonal sets. Parents love images that still feel relevant years later.
What’s Included in This Baby Bunny Setup
• Rustic bucket – Rozzi Rayne Studio Props
• Hand-knit bunny outfits – Poppy’s Props (sizes 6–18 months, stretch knit)
• Real raw vegetables sourced from a local farmers market
• Soft neutral backdrop
• Studio lighting
The styling is intentionally minimal so the textures — knit, wood, skin, natural produce — do the visual work.
Ideal Age for Baby Bunny Mini Sessions
This session is best suited for babies who:
• Are sitting up confidently
• Can remain upright unsupported for short periods
• Typically wear size 6–18 months
That sitting stage photographs beautifully — steady but still soft and baby-like.
Easter Mini Session Photography Tips
If you’re recreating a similar concept:
• Keep the color palette tight (2–3 tones maximum)
• Use real produce instead of plastic props for authenticity
• Choose stretch knit outfits for flexibility across baby sizes
• Avoid over-styling — negative space is your friend
• Work quickly and confidently
The simplicity is what makes this set timeless.
Five years later, this remains one of the sweetest, simplest spring mini sessions I’ve ever created.
Minimal doesn’t have to mean boring.
Seasonal doesn’t have to mean loud.
Sometimes the most impactful Easter baby portraits are the quietest ones.
